Education, Training and Experience
Dr. Erika Hartman received her undergraduate degree in natural science
and mathematics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon
graduation, she went to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry
where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000. While
at Meharry, Dr. Hartman received the American Association of
Orthodontist Student Award and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon
dental honor society.
Dr. Hartman, a board certified orthodontist, received her orthodontic
training from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington,
D.C. Dr. Hartman received the Faculty Award in Orthodontics for her
achievements during her residency. Dr. Hartman has been practicing with
Birmingham Orthodontics since November 2003.
Biography
Dr. Erika Hartman and her husband, Dr. Corey Hartman, currently reside in Homewood,
Alabama. Dr. Hartman enjoys spending time with her family, exercising
and reading. She remains active in her community and currently is on
the Board of Directors for the University of Alabama at Birmingham
National Alumni Society and on the Junior Board of Girls Inc.
