Education, Training and Experience
Dr. Stevenson graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in 1971, and graduated from the UAB School of Medicine in 1984. She trained at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, and completed her residency in 1987. Dr. Stevenson has been practicing medicine and treating patients for 21 years, joining MedHelp in 2000. She is Board Certified in Family Practice.
Biography
Dr. Stevenson special interest is preventive medicine, and has been recognized by her peers as one of the Best Physicians in Birmingham for the past several years.
Dr. Stevenson is happily married to the love of her life, and has three step-children. Her step-daughter and son-in-law have blessed her and her husband with a granddaughter and brand-new grandson, who occupy much of her time. She especially enjoys going to Princess parties with her granddaughter.
Dr. Stevenson is also an avid animal lover, having never met a stray that she could resist. She and her husband have Ruby (a black lab mix), Buddy (a black and white border collie mix) and the newest addition, Maggie (a brindle Heinz 57 mutt), found in the Home Depot parking lot!
