Education, Training and ExperienceDr. Robert B. Poczatek graduated from Birmingham-SouthernCollege in 1992 with a degree in Music. He was then awarded a Thomas J. Watson fellowship during which he traveled the globe studying pre-hospital emergency care. Dr. Poczatek completed his MD degree at the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine, where he also completed an internship in general surgery, a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and a fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine. He served as associated professor at UAB before joining Neurosurgical Associates in the summer of 2004. Dr. Poczatek's practice offers the complete spectrum of non-surgical musculoskeletal care including Nerve conduction/ EMG, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Procedures and use of Botulinum Toxin. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.
